HSC 2027 & HSC 2028 • BANGLADESH (ALL GENERAL BOARDS) A+ Roadmap — Finance, Banking & Insurance — 1st Paper Subject Code 292 Half calculation, half theory — and the calculation half runs on about twenty formulas. Learn the twenty and this becomes the most controllable paper in your group. What this document is. A 14-month study plan, chapter priority map and exam-technique manual for this paper. It does not teach the syllabus content — your NCTB textbook and guide book already do that. It tells you what to study, in what order, how deep, and how to write it in the exam hall. Finance, Banking & Insurance 1st Paper (292) HSC 2027 & 2028 — A+ Roadmap 1. Read This First FBI 1st Paper splits cleanly in two, and the two halves need completely different study methods: Numerical half — Ch 3, 4, 7, 8, 9 Theory half — Ch 1, 2, 5, 6 Roughly 55–60% of the CQ marks. Needs formula recall plus repeated problem practice. Skills decay if unpractised. Roughly 40–45%. Needs precise definitions and stimulus-linked writing. Retained better, but must still be written, not just read. Three things that decide your score: 1. The formulas are finite. There are about twenty of them in the whole paper. They are listed in Section 8 of this guide. A student who can produce all twenty from blank memory has already secured most of the numerical marks. 2. Show the formula before you substitute. Every numerical answer must read: formula →sub- stitution →working →answer with unit. An arithmetic slip after a correct formula still earns method marks. A bare wrong number earns nothing. 3. Every calculation question ends with a decision. Capital budgeting, cost of capital and risk questions all end with ”should the firm accept?” — and that decision sentence carries marks of its own. Never s

Finance, Banking & Insurance 1st Paper (292) HSC 2027 & 2028 — A+ Roadmap Part (ঘ) in a numerical question is not extra arithmetic It asks you to interpret what you calculated — which project to accept, whether the cost of capital is affordable, whether the risk is acceptable. Students recalculate instead of concluding and lose most of the four marks. One clear recommendation sentence, supported by your own figures, is what is being marked. 3.
