Read This First ICT is universal — and that is the point This is the only subject on your routine that is identical for a Science student, a Commerce student and a Humanities student. There is no group-specific version, no separate syllabus and no group concession. Whatever your group, the six chapters below are your six chapters, and the paper you sit is the same paper. ICT is a compulsory subject, so it counts in full towards your GPA. Yet it is routinely the last paper students prepare and the first they abandon when time runs short. Three facts explain why that is a mistake, and how to avoid it: 1. More than half this paper is mechanical. Number-system conversion, Boolean simplification, logic-gate circuits, HTML tags and C programs are all procedures. Procedures can be drilled to certainty. Nothing in Chapters 3, 4 and 5 requires opinion, judgement or luck. 2. You choose 5 questions out of 8. That is a wider choice than any Commerce paper gives you.
